At Home
Federal Government: The Founders of this nation intentionally limited the role of the federal government for these United States. This is being lost at an increasingly rapid pace. There must be a return to a limited federal government and the Constitution as the founders had envisioned.
Economy: Freedom for all includes allowing markets to function without interference or manipulation. There needs to be a fundamental shift away from an increasingly hampered market economy to one of greater freedom in commerce and entrepreneurship.
- End the Federal Reserve: This private bank has a monopoly over the money supply and manipulates
interest rates (price manipulation). It works in secrecy hiding it operations from even the Congress.
- End the Federal Income Tax: Income tax discourages labor, exchange, and savings. For some 130 years
of this nation's history there was no federal income tax, it is not needed.
- Deregulate: There are nearly 150,000 pages in 50 titles of the Code of Federal
Regulations. To prosper as a nation, there needs to be less regulation not more
Health Care: Choices in health care belongs to each and every person. Not politicians and bureaucrats. At the federal level, more can be done to make health care more affordable to each and everyone by doing away with government interference in health care.
Environment: Having a concern for the environment is to be concerned for our own well being. The U. S. Constitution does not speak to the protection of the environment, leaving that authority to the States and the People. At the Federal level more can be done to protect the environment with a general movement towards the protection of private property. Pollution is an infringement upon another and their property.
Representation: The debate of Article the First* must be revisited. The House of Representatives needs to grow with population to ensure that people are represented by people from their community.
*House version of Article the First (August 21, 1789) "After the first enumeration, required by the first Article of the Constitution, there shall be one Representative for every thirty thousand, until the number shall amount to one hundred, after which the proportion shall be so regulated by Congress, that there shall be not less than on hundred Representative, nor less than one Representative for every forty thousand persons, until the number of Representatives shall amount to two hundred, after which the proportion shall be so regulated by Congress, that there shall not be less than two hundred Representatives, nor less than one Representative for every fifty thousand persons".
Abroad
Free Trade: Commerce occurs between entrepreneurs, not governments. Trade agreements do nothing more than interfere with the markets, and limit people's choices, and weaken our own, as well as other nation's sovereignty.
The goal of congress should be peace and friendships with all nations and not interfere with the affairs of others.
- Foreign Aid: Foreign aid to all nations must end as it interferes with a nation's sovereignty and all too often
this aid is counterproductive.
- War: The responsibility of going to war belongs with the Congress and the Congress should have a respect
for the sailors, soldiers, marines and airmen that will make the fight and pass a declaration of war, and not a
resolution of political doublespeak. |
